Subjects Taught

Stonehill College : Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education , 1995

Southern Connecticut State University : Master of Science, 2002

I am currently entering my twenty first year as an educator. My career began at a school in Bronxville, New York where I taught fourth grade.  Next I adventured to the town I grew up in, Clinton, CT where I taught third grade for two years and coached their middle school soccer team. And finally I have been teaching at Ridge Road in North Haven  for the last seventeen years, thirteen of this years were in the fourth grade.  This will be my third year at the middle school teaching science.

So who is Mr. Annino?

I have been teaching in North Haven for 18 years at Ridge Road School. This year I am very excited to begin a new chapter in my career by teaching Science at the new North Haven Middle School. Over the years I have had many proud moments but one that stands out every year is the participation of the Ridge Road students in the St. Baldrick's events. For many years we participated in the Middle School event with great success and this year we were able to smoothly run our own event, shaving over 60 heads and raising over $35,000. In addition to being a teacher I am also a husband and father. My family and I have lived in Meriden for 16 years.  I have two teenaged boys.  Aiden is entering 10th grade and Caleb is entering 8th grade.  You will hear me talk about my children often.  I feel it is important to have open communication with my students and sharing my life with them is very important. This allows for open communication between teacher and student. As a family we enjoy amusement parks, roller coasters, the Red Sox, and the Patriots. This summer we spent some time camping at Hammonnassett State Park in Madison as well as some time in Newport, Rhode Island where we spent time on the beach, visiting some mansions, and enjoying the many restaurants in downtown Newport.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
