Assistant Principal

 Dear North Haven Families,

My name is Paul Castiglione and I am the Assistant Principal at North Haven Middle School. I have 15 years of experience that spans grades K-8.  My expertise is in Mathematics, curriculum development, and Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI). My most recent experience has been as an Instructional coach and K-5 Math Coordinator in North Haven serving all four elementary schools.  I have also been the Future Problem Solving coach for North Haven Middle School for the past 8 years.  Prior to my experience as Math Coordinator, I was a 5th grade teacher for 7 years.  I am excited to bring my skills as an Instructional leader to North Haven Middle School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

Along with the staff and administration, I will work hard to continue the success of the North Haven Middle School by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community stakeholders.  This year we are focusing on using data to drive instruction. We have implemented Common Core Standards and a new math program at 7th and 8th grade to continue to build on the common strategies started in the elementary schools.  Character education initiatives will continue through the PBIS program.

I believe this year, as a member of the team, I will support the community, and help to provide a comprehensive, creative and challenging educational experience that develops independence, social-emotional growth, and an understanding of a diverse society.

As the school year moves forward, it is my hope that we will work together to provide the students of North Haven the best possible opportunities in preparing them to meet the demands of the twenty-first century.  As the Assistant Principal, my door is always open and I welcome and value your input.  Please feel free to stop by or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to make the rest of the year better.

I look forward to working with you and your child.
